C Broadcasting — Cultural TV – in technicolour

In 2006 a Dutch broadcasting initiative invited Studio Dumbar to help them with a rather special project. Their aim was to launch a rich online media platform for cultural programming, attracting enough subscribers to operate in the public domain. Invited to create a name and identity for the organisation we suggested ‘C’, supporting the client’s dedication to culture.

The logo is colourful and multi-layered, signifying the variety and diversity of programming. This established a recognisable yet versatile style; a style not limited to one visual expression. We brought the logo to life on press folders, for example, by cutting through four sheets of paper. Promoting the subscription drive whenever possible, we devised the cost effective solution of incorporating subscription forms with traditional items like letterheads and business cards.
