Vinea — School’s out, ‘cool brands’ are in

The Netherlands’ largest operator of activity holidays for children aged 7 and up, Vinea aims to make every summer vacation safe exciting and memorable for the children. Prompted by a desire to make the brand more appealing and relevant to two priority groups (parents and children), Vinea invited Studio Dumbar to revitalise its visual identity and online presence.

We moved the visual identity and communications away from traditional travel catalogues. First, our designs matched the children’s frame of reference – without chasing away the parents. Secondly, we moved the emphasis from print to online. The identity communicates with its audience in a fun yet sophisticated manner, supporting both the playfulness and quality of Vinea’s products. At the Coolbrands annual awards, the revitalised identity received the Cool Brand Award in the Cool Kids category.
