We are very proud to learn that our design for the responsive website of the Dutch national Police politie.nl has won the Website of the Year award! Both in the category of Governmental website and as overall winner, over all categories. Studio Dumbar was responsible for the brand refresh and visual design of the website.
With a lot of huge football fans in our studio, we didn’t hesitate to say yes to the project invitation from Commentary of Manchester School of Art, National Football Museum and Spiel Magazine. A research project about the relationship between football and design. We designed a large football flag by starting off with fabric, scissors, paint and ended up with a clear message.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has selected Studio Dumbar as the Netherlands juror for DESIGN at the festival in June 2015. Juries will convene in Cannes during the Festival for 11 days in total to review, debate and decide the fate of an anticipated 40,000 entries - a process that is described as challenging, inspiring and important to the future of the industry.
Liza Enebeis, has been invited to join the jury of ADCN, Art Directors Club Netherlands, in the category Brand and Communication Design including Photography Craft. The ADCN award is the most prestigious award in the Netherlands for Advertising and Design.
Quarterly magazine Creatie invited Tom Dorresteijn to be guest chief-editor for the new edition. He defined the theme, the content, did the interviews and Studio Dumbar (Vincent Vrints) designed the complete new magazine. The result: a really special magazine about ‘Personality brands’. The publisher evaluated the edition as a ‘single and unique masterpiece’.
To mark the publication, Studio Dumbar designed the animation and set up an event in Amsterdam.
The Amsterdam Sinfonietta poster series 2012 and 2013 wins the acclaimed ‘Yellow Pencil’ award at the D&AD (Design and Art Direction) Awards in London on Thursday evening. A D&AD Award is recognised globally as the ultimate creative accolade, entered and attended by the best from around the world. Almost a week later and we are still celebrating!
