AG2R LA MONDIALE — Designing for a merged French insurance company

In 2009, French insurance companies AG2R and La Mondiale merged to form AG2R LA MONDIALE. To distinguish ALM from its competitors we avoided the clichés associated with financial sector graphics by creating a distinctly modern and approachable identity. The result? An award winning design programme that reinvigorated the visual landscape of an industry so often bereft of inspirational branding.

Driven by a simple yet iconic logo, expressive typography, engaging photography and a vibrant, versatile colour palette, the new identity exudes authority with a warm, light-hearted tone. A comprehensive roll out encompassed everything from brochures, websites, intranet and motion graphics, to retail exteriors, interiors and office signage. We also created complete visual identities for ALM’s sponsorship of a Tour de France team (still in use) and the annual international yacht race, Le Transat.
